Like many people, Joe adopted a dog during the pandemic, and he recognized that pet healthcare was stuck in the past. Joe has an entrepreneurial background including founding the telehealth company Hims, and he saw an opportunity to introduce telemedicine to pet care.
While there are many health problems pets can face that require going to a vet clinic, there are some problems, like a rash, anxiety issues and joint pain that can be resolved through a video call. And in some cases, it is a way to buy some time until a customer can get an appointment.
We dive into their choice to use a subscription model, and Joe gives some great insight on learning from customer churn to improve their business model.
