He shares the impact that their customers had on them, explaining that while Recur Outdoors first focused solely on fly-fishing, their customers eventually pushed them into offering other categories of gear as well.

He highlights the importance of examining and experimenting with customer experience, and explains that creating value in more than just the subscription product is a pivotal component in differentiating Recur Outdoors from competitors.
Brian wraps the episode with a piece of advice to other founders. He states that in hindsight, he would have invested more time and money into the technology behind Recur Outdoors earlier on and not waited until the company grew to take that step.
